Margaret Amon, a 20-year resident of La Pine, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the age of 92.

Margaret was born to Alphonso and Mary (Strickland) Woerly on January 7, 1923, in Tennessee, IL. On January 11, 1945 she married Carl Eugene Amon in Nauvoo, IL. She earned a Business Certificate from college, and worked for 20 years at a shoe factory in Keokuk, IA. After moving to California she worked in the Finance Department for the State of California before retiring and moving to La Pine, OR. Margaret and Carl were active members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in La Pine. Margaret taught line dancing in La Pine for several years, loved to quilt, and especially loved her dogs.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years; one brother, James Woerly; five sisters, Harriett Pope, Mary Ellen Stevens, Virginia Kelly, Anna Mae Wightman, Margorie Gordon (twin sister); and her parents.
