Richard Brewer of La Pine, Oregon, passed away on May 26, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Richard attended Ole Main High School in North Little Rock, AR, and then entered the United States Navy in 1977. On June 7, 1980, Richard married the love of his life Roimarie "Mimi" McGinnis. While in the Navy Richard was a welder, and was awarded the Expeditionary Medal. Richard worked for the City of North Little Rock before moving to Oregon where he worked for the City of Stayton as a water treatment operator until his retirement. Richard & Mimi retired to La Pine in 2004, where he began to show how much he loved the outdoors. Some of Richards favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, ATV riding, gold panning—anything outdoors. He was a volunteer for Support Services La Pine RFPD and had memberships to the NRA, NAHC, NAFC.

Richard was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jennifer Lee of San Diego, CA, 12-September-1980; maternal grandparents, Delbert and Nancy Colvert of North Little Rock, AR; paternal grandparents, Delbert & Margaret Brewer; cousins, Lee Brown of Little Rock, AR, and Tracy Brown-Gilliam of Memphis, TN; and aunt, Mary Alice Anderson.

Richard is survived by his wife of 36 years Mimi Brewer; son Richard W. II (wife Jessica) Brewer and two grandchildren, Evelyn & Gary of Salem, OR; daughter Holly (husband Zack) Saunders and three grandchildren, Zackary, Elizabeth & Alexander of La Pine, OR; daughter Ashley (husband Sean) Lewis and one granddaughter Celeste of Bend, OR; parents Delbert & Anita Brewer of North Little Rock, AR; three brothers, Sam Colvert of Noonan, GA, Bob Brewer of Heber Springs, AR, Tom Brewer of Sherwood, AR; two sisters, Cathleen Morrow of Ratcliff, AR, and Margaret Brewer of Sherwood, AR; and two cousins Nancy Anderson of Hernando, MS and Glen Brown of Little Rock, AR.
