Wayne “Red” Elton Gurney, age 79, died on Monday, February 26, 2018 in La Pine, Oregon. Red was born August 16, 1938 in Roseburg, Oregon. He served in the United States Marines Corps from 1958—1962. His best friends, and fishing partners, Travis Turner and Ken will miss him greatly. Red enjoyed feeding his animals and gathering eggs from his chickens. He didn’t know a stranger and could talk to anyone. Red was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Judy; his brother, Vernon Gurney; 3 children, Patricia Adkins (husband Erick), Beverly Gurney and Steve Gurney (wife Billie); 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
