Carolyn Dee Richards passed away at Prairie Assisted Living in La Pine Oregon at the age of 75 on May 8th 2019.

She was born to the late Roy D. Richard (World War 2 Veteran) and Violet M. (Hert) Archer on February 25, 1944 in Santa Ana, California.

Carol was a long time resident of La Pine where she resided with her surviving Husband Larry Richards. She loved gardening, cooking, sewing, watching television and talking with friends. Carol had an amazing smile and always felt the need to help others. She loved her neighbor’s Shirley and Carol Bache.

Carol is survived by her husband Larry Richards and a step daughter, step son, step grandson, step granddaughter and a great granddaughter.
From Carol’s first marriage she is survived by two daughters, Paula Pelton and Sandra Roach and three sons, James Summers, John Mathews, and Peter Mathews. She has 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Two sisters and their husbands, Mary Ann Jessip and Bill Jessip of Clearlake Oaks, CA. and Audie Johnson and Larry Johnson of Holstein Iowa. Numerous nieces and nephews and many cousins. Two Aunts, Patty Mendham and Helen Bullinger.

Carol was preceded in death by all her grandparents, her father and mother and stepfather Clark W. Archer and her younger brother Ernest David Richard also her beloved son Robert Clark Mathews.
