Obituary

“Corky” Johnny Wayne Goodgion passed away in La Pine, Oregon on November 21, 2019. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma on September 26, 1940.

Corky had a very bubbly personality and was definitely a crack up. Everybody that knew him was instantly his friend. Corky absolutely loved mechanics, computers and camping with his family. Throughout his life he lived in Texas, New Mexico and California, where he met his wife Lowelyn of 59 ½ years. In 1972 they moved to Roseburg, Oregon, then to La Pine in 2000. Corky was a Sunday School Teacher, a Bible Study Teacher, Worship Leader, cooked for Men’s Fellowship, was a Royal Ranger Leader, and drove the Church Bus for a Sunday School route twice per week for church pick up. For his career, Corky was a diesel mechanic most of his life and retired in 1995.

Corky is preceded in death by his parents, J.R. and Lois Goodgion, 3 Brothers; Donald Ray, Raymond, and Reuben Goodgion. He is survived by his wife Lowelyn Goodgion of La Pine, Oregon, his daughter Jinnie Lou Clark of Eugene, Oregon, Sons; Scott Goodgion of Stanwood, Washington and Brian Goodgion of Springfield, Oregon, Granddaughters, Courtney Clark, Jessica Keiser, Illaura Rossiter, Crystal Ellis and Grandson Aaron Goodgion, and nine Great-Grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on December 7, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Community Bible Church in Sunriver.
