Born in Brewster, Washington
Resided in Redmond, Oregon

Mark Ellsworth Denny was born on November 19, 1953, in Brewster, WA, to parents Bronson Ellsworth Denny and Lois Adair (Fultz). He graduated high school and attended the Oregon Meat Cutting School before pursuing a career as a professional meat cutter.

A tender-hearted outdoorsman who always lit up the room when he walked in, Mark also cooked for the Shepherd’s Table program in Redmond for over ten years. He was compassionate and always ready to share his knowledge: he served as a hunting and fishing education instructor as well as a master hunter and proud member of the Redmond Rod and Gun Club. When he was not busy helping others, he enjoyed fishing the Snake River and Lake Billy Chinook.

Mark passed away on March 23, 2019, at the age of 65. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Elaine (Scalzo); his children, Timothy Ellsworth Denny, Melissa Ann Lowery, and Anthony Adam Denny; his brother, Paul E. Denny; his sister, Julie D. Denny; and six grandchildren. He also lives on in the hearts of anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him.

The family requests that any contributions in Mark’s memory be made to the City Center Church for the purpose of aiding the Shepherd’s Table in their mission of ending hunger in the local community.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 11:00 am-1:00pm at the City Center Church, 549 SW 8th St, Redmond, OR 97756.
