Obituary

Ora Faye Criswell was born 1933 in Lonewolf, Oklahoma to Roscoe Redell and Thressia Martha (Ballenger) Criswell.

She was a graduate of Exeter High School in Exeter, Ca. She met and married Stanley Clark in Visalia, CA in 1952. They had 4 children before divorcing in 1983.

Faye was an extremely talented seamstress, making all her children’s clothes and even doing wedding gowns in her years in Visalia, Ca. She owned and operated a tailor shop called Pins and Needles in Sonora, Ca for many years. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed genealogy and had spent many years tracking down her family’s history.  She made lifelong friends everywhere she went and corresponded and kept in touch with them for years. She did not leave much of a footprint on this world, as she recycled anything and everything she got her hands on. She was feisty and fearless and stood up to life with sheer determination and was an amazing example for her family.

She had an unshakeable faith and was a woman of God. She lived her whole life in such a way that when the time came, she would be saved and enter into her heavenly kingdom, as a perfect soul.

She was an adoring grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her family whenever she could. She will be greatly missed by her surviving daughters, Tawnya Kemper (Michael) of John Day, Shayne Huffman of Redmond and Marla Swope (Tim) of Malad, ID. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly, and two grandsons, Jason and John lost to MD with whom she had a very close relationship.

She also lost a very special friend, Doug Questo, who she cared for until his death from cancer in 2003.

She will be so greatly missed but we know she is frolicking and skipping in Heaven with all her beloved family and is free at last!
